Opinion (that is gonna trigger) to be written.
So, I think we all know that there are some topics that should never be discussed…because it crosses a line. However, as human nature is we will sometimes bring it up. Be it on purpose or by accident. But let me tell you that; regardless of the topic your opinion should be heard. It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong. As long as you have an opinion SAY IT. Who cares someone disagree with you. Never be afraid of it.
So, yeah with this thought in mind I do think the world if NUTS. Why? Because at the moment it feels like if our opinion differs we are getting crucified by others for it. Prime example when I posted about the election thing. Now, it got a reaction. Was I going for that reaction? No. I was just simply making my own thoughts know.. Sure I used the word ‘woke’ which definitely triggered people. Upon seeing some of the responses I had to laugh. I mean; not even for one single second did they stop to think before replying to me. They just immediately jumped on that part.
I get it, perhaps the context in which I used it didn’t quite work; but at the time it seemed like a good description. There will be times where I just say what I think and whatever comes to mind will be typed!
To me, saying the term ‘woke’ is I suppose my way of targeting certain groups. So let us look up the term.Now a little goggle search up on the term; and people may not know this but it has been around for a very long time. Even I didn’t know that so interesting. From what I have read it dates back as far as 2010. Ok that isn’t that long ago LOL but does feel like it. Anyway; as you may know the term has quite a fair bit of negativity associated with it; whether that is fair or not we aren’t going to touch that; but it is anyway. However there are times where it has been used during a conversation to ‘poke fun’ so in some ways it is a funny comment.
From my perspective it definitely is negative and it can’t be helped!
In the look up it also says that the term is used to describe a particular segregated group whom are easily offended and you know I actually agree with this!
In some contexts, “woke” is used pejoratively to describe individuals or groups who are perceived as overly sensitive, self-righteous, or politically correct.
Oh yes very much so all of that I feel is correct. The politically correct…eh Im not sure.
So yep people on m FB friends list got ‘upset’ at me using woke in my rant so it seems like the perfect way to describe them HAHA.
So is the world nuts? Has it gone nuts? Yes. Absolutely YES. You only have to look at what is going on every day to know the world is mad. A good man or a bad mad? I will let you decide it!
