Some F1 thoughts from yesterday and the previous week.
Let me begin by saying this: Lewis Hamilton is so so good! Whoever has bene trying to say he needs to retire or leave the sport should just shut the hell up.
The guy is basically a god of the sport. His win last week was brilliant. And while he didn’t finish top 3 yesterday he showed signs of just what he can do with any opportunity he gets.
I see ho reason why he can’t keep going! It took him a bit of time to really feel comfortable with Ferrari of course, but I think it is obvious he is starting to find his grove. if he does and hits it look out!
Look at the way him and Max battled during the race yesterday, it was epic viewing, and when he was over taking others like team mate Charles and later Oscar it was poetry to watch!
On yesterday’s race, I surely wasn’t the only one impressed by Max’s driving. My god. is it any wonder why he’s won so many times. It was like a master class. Not only was his battle with Lewis great, but the way he was running down George for a good chunk of the race was epic. You could tell George and Team Mercedes were pretty nervous!!
Oscar sadly isn’t having a good year and it jsut hasn’t really taken off for him this year. Hard to know what is wrong. On the other hand I am pretty sure we can all see how much of a one-hit wonder Lando Norris will be. All but a forgotten one time Champion. There could be a case to be argued that he just hasn’t had the luck like quite a few of the drivers, but people do expect a champion to rise to the occasion. Look at Max and Lewis as examples this! There is also Fernando too whose kinda fallen off the pace, but to be fair Aston Martin overall are just having a shit year; and maybe for Fernando it is just enjoying the time and past time of racing? Eh. Whatever floats his boat!
