It is not often I decide to rant about work online but there are times when it calls for it. Back in my previous job at AFC I used to find lots of things to complain about, because I just felt it was important. Like, i wasn’t attempting to create havoc for anyone; it is simply sometimes when you get annoyed you need to say it. Of course posting it online is never a good idea because you just do not know who is going to come across your post. Last thing you need!
Hence on those occasions I just type it out in a word document. I feel sure I have probably ranted in this blog ot another but I can’t be bothered to go find if I did. haha. In any case i have some things I want to vent for a bit. Since nobody really knows where I work nor am I actually friends with co-workers I am still going to use a little bit of caution.
At my current work place do i have complaints? Yes.
But before we go into that, let us consider that, all of us will always find something to complain about at work. Sometimes it is to vent, sometimes its also to share frustration, and weirdly enough ideas.
So, why do you vent about work?
Anyway, here is mine.
I work at am imaging place, a very specialised imaging and it is pretty cool. Do not get me wrong it is awesome, lots of fun to be had and lots to learn. Well not as much now as before but here and there something new pops up.
However, in the past year we have had a chance in management; which to be honest i didn’t notice and realise until very late. Now, not that I was expecting it to be told to me in detail of course; but it would have been nice to be told early on after I started the plans. Yes, yes I know things chan change at the drop of hate; and people just suddenly make a decision. Nonetheless; if the the change was always on the horizon then being forewarned would be helpful. It would no t have changed my stance on working there.
So, it happened all and well is good, slow re-start of the business as is to be expected but hitting a year now and have to say there is plenty to be excited for and plenty to see happening in a good way. I must admit though there are days when I get very, very annoyed at certain people. I do a lot of work maybe more then I should and it gets frustrating when other people are just ‘fluffing around’ having gossip sessions when they are supposed to be working. Not saying nobody gets their work done; it does ….eventually. It is just feels very one sided. Yes, I know I should not complain, or be bitchy about it; or rat on people (as that part is not really my business); but when I see things like that going on; it bothers me and makes me feel like why the hell am I not allowed to enjoy?
Sure at specialist places you may not run into the same busy periods as say more General Practices but busy does occur it is just more infrequent.
