NFS – the idea I had originally

The below was originally how I was going to write the series until one day I decided to change it. You shall get a look at the current one later on. But for now…this was basically the original idea.

——–

We’ve seen how the storyline works in NFS games: Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon, Undercover, Pro street and The Run.

Now using my own thinking I’m going to tie these storylines together making up a story on its own while using the plot from the games. I’d hadn’t thought of it much until last night when I was watching the cut scenes from Carbon and one particular image stood out.

It is the last scene, following the player’s victory against Darius, who comes to the player and speaks to him. When Darius gets into another car and drives off; there is a shot (before Darius and the car are seen driving off down the highway leaving Palmont /Silvertone) of Nikki and the ‘player’. One of the comments from the youtube video casually mentioned the likeness of the player to Jack (from The Run), though it is only the shot from behind. The fact the player is wearing a hoodie and Jack has a similar one in The Run has probably brought this idea and it got me thinking.

Assuming the storyline flashback at the start and throughout Carbon is the very beginning of the story. So ‘that race’ is where it all begins so here’s my version of events.

The Backstory…
Jack and Darius were once long time friends and street racing rivals in Palmount City. Jack’s talents were far more superior than Darius over their time racing, which for Darius is a real threat to him, and over time he became tired of being second to Jack. So Darius begins to plot to remove Jack from Palmount for good; and the final race sees Jack taking on Angie, Kenji and Wolf, the right to to run Palmount for good. Darius sees the chance to play the good guy through loaning one of his car’s to Jack for the race and the prize money is what is waiting at the end of the pot for the winner.
However; before the race can officially be completed the racers are jumped upon by police with Angie, Kenji and Wolf arrested, Jack gets the bag with the supposed money since he was the most likely to win the race. In the mayhem the bag’s were switched; so when Jack leaves Palmount City he discovers the bag he got was filled with newspaper clippings instead of the money. All the newspaper clippings have recorded Jack’s great rise in the racing scene, he has no idea how this has all come about but Jack makes a pact to return to Palmount to sort out one day to sort out the mess. In order to do so he’s going to have to start from scratch, re-build his work and get his name out there.

Underground…
After several months in hiding Jack rocks up to Olympic City ready to get back into the game, his natural instincts as a racer are too hard to ignore and he makes a come back to racing, after first taking things slowly working with Samantha, and making his name over time eventually getting the attention of top racer Eddie who is not impressed with Jack’s rise up the ranks. Jack and Eddie face off in the finale for the right to be the best racer in the city and jack comes out on top, solidifying his place as one of the best racers. However his victory is short-lived when Jack is caught off-guard when a H2 Hummer totals his car.

Underground 2…
Jack heads off to Bayview in search of the man who destroyed his car with Samantha advising him to contact her best friend Rachel and with the two of them working together they search out Caleb (the man responsible for destroying Jack’s car) and at the same time they realize something fishy is going on with Caleb when he uses sponsorship deals in his favor giving him an added advantage over all the racers in Bayview. In the finale showdown Jack takes on Caleb for the right to be crowned the best driver in Bayview, and Jack coming out on top is able to regain his reputation and extract revenge for his wrecked car.

Most Wanted…
Jack’s great rise in Olympic City and Bayview is a cause for concern; and through his had work and well-earned money he ditches his car and gets a BMW M3 heavily-tuned to perfection and heads off to Rockport. He meets the beautiful Mia and encounters Razor one of the best racers in Rockport and Sargent Cross. Jack also encounters a local racer, Rog whom reveals he knows about Jack’s exploits in the past and believes he won’t won’t have it easy this time around. Cross has every intention to take down all street racing Rockport and has it in specifically for Jack. When a race goes wrong between Jack and Razor the BMW is taken and assists Razor in becoming the no:1 racer in Rockport topping the Blacklist. Unknowingly Jack is helping Mia take apart each racer on the Blacklist. The finale between Jack and Razor is intense, and their talents are of equal strength; Jack easily topples Razor in the end but with Razor unwilling to hand over the BMW Mia forces him, and is revealed to be an undercover cop working with Cross. The police descend on the group but Mia gives the keys of the BMW to Jack allowing him the chance to escape much to Cross’s anger and the pursuit is on to make sure Jack never leaves the city. Mia, though intervenes for the last time, giving Jack an opportunity to escape Rockport for good, which he does and Cross enlists Jack is the MOST WANTED racer in the country.

Carbon…
After conquering three big cities Jack makes his return Palmount, now ready to face his demons and to find out what really happened on the night of the race. During his entry into Palmount Cross jumps him from behind and the BMW is destroyed but Jack is saved from being taken by Cross when Darius, another driver and eventually Nikki shows up. Jack is still unclear of what had happened when he escaped Palmount many months ago and wants to try and find out what went wrong. He reveals to Nikki his events of how it unfolded, she tells hers and a few others also tell their story. This leads Jack to realize everything had been set up by Darius because he was threatened of Jack’s talents and feared he would never be a top racer. So Darius had set up the race on purpose, called in the cops including Cross; but had agreed with the authorities to let Jack escape. Cross only pursued after Jack in MW and in Carbon when he realized his mistake for agreeing to let Jack escape in the first place as well as making a deal with Darius. Now that Darius knows Jack’s figured him out he has Cross come in and arrest him but Nikki appears to save Jack and pay off Cross. Jack comes face to face with Darius for the final time with everything on the line and Jack through pure talents and skill eliminates Darius for good though Darius leaves with a warning.

Undercover…
Tri-City presents a new challenge for Jack after he receives a call from the local PD. They are desperate to break an international illegal racing syndicate after losing one of their own to the organization. Jack will only help the PD out if they agree to remove his files and everything about him is taken off the database and the Most Wanted list. When agreement is reached Jack heads out and begins to break into the ring slowly, making a few friends and finding out just how deep the operation goes; though it starts to get complicated the further he digs and almost loses himself while running with these dangerous groups. Still Jack uses all his cunning and experience to pull himself free, he catches Chase Linh in the last battle thus ensuring he is not framed for the murder of one of the boss heads. Keller confirms all charges and other evidence on Jack has been dropped and he is free to go.

The Run…
A year has passed since Jack has conquered Olympic City, Bayview, Rockport, Palmount and Tri City but the itch to keep racing and being the best in the country is an urge he needs to feed. So much he finds himself back on the police hit list especially with the Feds; and and also in financial debt to a notorious mob. Now, with nowhere to turn Jack is given a chance to repay all his debts when an old associate, Sam gives him an offer they both know he won’t turn down especially with a pot of $25million on the line. Jack has 200 drivers to beat in a 3,000 mile race from San Francisco to New York City. and if he wins his troubles will be behind him for good. Throughout the race he encounters other drivers also using the run as their ticket to freedom, as well as contending with those from the mob and police wanting his head. After racing all over the country Jack has his last showdown with Marcus, the mob’s best driver and his biggest nemesis to date. From the word go Marcus uses every tactic possible to ensure Jack doesn’t get victory but even his best efforts fail and Jack with all his smarts gets the better of Marcus in the final quarter thus ensuring his victory and confirming his place once and for all as the best racer in all of the US.
